I love the imagery in Parashat Vayakhel. I love the introduction of Betzalel, Oholiab and the wise-hearted artisans who build the Mishkan and its furnishings. Last semester, I visited Shilo with the Pardes Social Justice Track. It was so cool! Its funny but we just don’t think of that as being the first holy site, or at least I don’t. The mishkan was there nearly 400 years! Click on the photos to enlarge them:

Beit Sholom Synagogue – Frank Lloyd Wright

The famous Beit Sholom Synagogue built by Frank Lloyd is a minutes drive from where I am staying outside Philadelphia! I went for a tour this morning. Next time you’re in Philly you have to visit! It’s magnificent!
