Parshat Miketz is a story
About Joseph in all of his glory
When Pharaoh dreamt of a cow
Joseph said “save food now,
Or Egypt will become really gory.”

Now Pharaoh knew God was with him
For Joseph’s interpretations weren’t dim.
He got a new name,
Learned to play the Egyptian game,
and the store-rooms were filled to the brim.

When the famine was great in the land
Joseph’s brothers were eating sand
So they went to Egypt for food
Almost Jacob’s entire brood
And Joseph had something sneaky planned

Many times he tricked his brothers
And they all had different mothers
Joseph needed to put them to the test
To see if they would treat Benjamin best
And in the end he got his druthers!
